We cut these with an oversized palazzo leg and a lowered rise, giving the linen blend room to move and drape without pulling. The wide vertical stripes run from the elastic waist down to a straight hem. You pull them on, tie the cord, and the fabric stays away from the skin.

• Elastic drawstring waist. An elastic waistband sits high and holds the volume without squeezing the middle. We added a flat front cord so you can adjust the gather and keep the pants sitting where you want on the hips.
• Palazzo harem cut. The rise is dropped and the legs flare wide from the hip down. This generous cut lets air pass through as you walk, pooling lightly at the ankle instead of tapering.
• Dropped side pockets. We set deep patch pockets low on the outer seam to follow the slouch of the silhouette. They carry keys or a phone without pulling the waistband down or breaking the vertical line of the stripe.
• Washing and care. Wash on a gentle cycle in cool water or hand wash to keep the linen fibres intact. Hang them to dry in the shade and use a warm steam iron to smooth out hard creases.
