We cut these with an open barrel shape that widens through the thigh before tapering slightly at the lower hem. The orange and white plaid is woven into a light linen blend that softens after washing. A simple drawstring holds the low waistband without tight binding.

• Low drawstring waist. An elastic waistband with a flat pull cord lets the top edge rest lower on the hips. It stays in place without pinching or stiff internal stays.
• Barrel leg volume. The legs balloon out around the mid-thigh and drop into a relaxed harem curve. The cloth hangs loose away from the skin and vents heat through the weave.
