We cut these very baggy through the hip and leg for an open, airy hang. The fabric is a light linen blend woven with vertical coffee stripes. An elastic waistband with an adjustable cord settles high or low on the waist without binding.

• Wide leg volume. The legs drop wide from the gathers at the waist down through a generous hem. The cloth falls away from the body entirely and vents heat through a loose weave.
• Drawstring waist. We gathered the top edge onto an elastic band and threaded an adjustable cord through the casing. You can set the rise higher or lower on the hip as you prefer.
• Dropped side pockets. Two deep pockets sit at the sides, set low into the seams to hold daily items without pulling the drape out of line. They add a bit of bulk where the shape flares.
• Linen care. Wash by hand or on a gentle cycle in cool water, then line dry to protect the weave. A warm steam iron smooths out wrinkles, though the natural rumple settles quickly with wear.
