We cut these loose through the thigh and let the leg run wide down to the hem. A drawstring sits inside the elastic casing at the waist to hold the gather where you want it. The stripe runs vertical in black and pale blue, woven on a light linen blend that softens after washing.

• Elastic drawstring waist. An elastic band gathers the top edge and sits flat against the waist. We ran a matching drawcord through the casing so you can tie it tight or leave it relaxed depending on how high you wear the rise.
• Wide harem leg. The cut drops low through the crotch and opens wide down the leg before falling straight to the hem. It leaves ample room around the knees and thighs, letting air move freely through the linen weave as you walk.
• Side pockets. Two deep pockets sit along the side seams below the gather. They are cut deep enough to hold a phone or keys without pulling the waist down or bunching up the outer line of the pant.
• Woven stripe care. The black and light blue stripes are woven directly into the fabric. Machine wash on a gentle cycle or hand wash in cool water, then hang them on a line to dry. A quick steam smooths out heavy wrinkles.
