We cut these very loose through the thigh and calf, borrowing volume from classic harem pants. The linen blend is light, woven with fine black and pink vertical stripes that run straight down to the hem. An elastic waistband with a matching drawstring keeps the rise where you set it.

• Wide harem leg. The cut drops low and widens out immediately below the waistband. Extra fabric through the lower leg gives the hem weight when you walk, letting the linen move freely without clinging.
• Elastic drawstring waistband. We gathered the top edge over a wide elastic band and threaded an adjustable drawstring through the middle. It rests flat against the hips and stays in place without pinching.
• Dropped side pockets. Two deep pockets sit slightly low along the side seams. They hold everyday items without pulling the vertical stripe pattern out of line or tightening across the hip.
• Linen blend care. Wash cold on a gentle cycle or by hand, then line dry in the shade. The fabric softens with repeated washing. Use a steam iron if you want the stripes pressed flat.
