We cut these very loose with extra volume through the leg and a low-slung pocket line. The jadeite green stripe runs down a lightweight linen blend that softens after washing. An elastic waistband with an adjustable cord settles the waist where you want it.

Leg cut and volume. The cut borrows from palazzo and harem pants, leaving generous room through the thigh and leg opening. The cloth hangs straight down from the hip, venting warm air as you walk.
Drawstring waistband. An elastic band gathers the fabric across the waist and stays secure with a matching front tie. It pulls on without fasteners, sitting at natural height without binding.
Dropped side pockets. Two deep side pockets sit low along the outer seam to hold small belongings without pulling the fabric out of line. The weight stays anchored in the side folds.
