A high-rise corduroy pant built with extra room through the thigh and calf before tapering toward the ankle. The ridged black weave holds warmth without feeling stiff. We added a broad elastic band and a front tie so the waist stays where you place it.

• High drawstring waistband. The wide elastic waistband sits high on the natural waist. An exterior drawstring lets you adjust the tension directly, keeping the trousers anchored securely without pinching or rolling down during the day.
• Ribbed black corduroy. We chose a medium-weight black corduroy with a visible parallel rib. The textured wales trap air for warmth in cool weather, while the cloth softens steadily with wash and wear.
• Barrel leg taper. Volume builds through the hips and wide legs, then draws inward toward the hem. This curved barrel silhouette leaves plenty of space around the knees and calves without dragging on the floor.
• Pockets and wash care. Two deep front pockets sit flat against the hip for holding essentials. Machine wash cold or hand wash to protect the ribbed pile, then lay flat to dry in the shade.
