We cut these everyday cold-weather trousers with a curved barrel leg that holds its shape away from the skin. The high elastic waistband uses an adjustable drawstring cord to stay put without binding. Soft corduroy wales trap warmth while keeping the drape relaxed from the hips down to the ankle hem.

Corduroy rib fabric. The medium-weight corduroy has a soft pile with parallel ridges running lengthwise. It holds warmth on cold mornings and drapes with enough body to support the wide, curved leg line.
High drawstring waistband. We gathered the top onto a wide elastic band and threaded an external drawstring through the channel. You can tie it snug or let it sit loose without losing the rise.
Curved barrel leg. The leg swells gently through the thigh and calf before tapering slightly at the bottom hem. This loose profile avoids catching on winter boots and keeps the cut breezy around the knees.
Wash and care. Machine wash cold or wash by hand to keep the ribbed pile soft. Lay the trousers flat in the shade to dry so the waistband holds its shape and the fabric stays smooth.
