We cut these barrel trousers with a high rise and room through the thigh that tapers slightly toward the ankle. The ribbed corduroy gives the dot pattern body and holds warmth on colder days. An elastic waist with a functional drawstring anchors the fit without pinching.

• Corduroy rib and print. The corduroy wales add texture to the coffee and white dot print. This cloth has a medium weight that holds its shape, breaks gently over shoes, and stays soft through regular wear.
• High drawstring waist. We built the top with an elastic channel and an adjustable drawcord. It sits high on the waist, holds firmly against the small of the back, and lets you reset the tension as needed.
• Barrel leg shape. The cut curves out along the outer seam and pulls back in slightly at the hem. This gives you extra room around the knee without dragging excess fabric underfoot.
• Deep front pockets. Two deep patch pockets sit flat at the front hips. They are set into the side seams to carry everyday items without pulling the waistband down or distorting the front drape.
