We cut these high-waisted barrel pants from a medium-weight ribbed corduroy that holds warmth through cooler months. The leg curves out gently through the thigh and calf before tapering toward the ankle, printed in a black and white dot pattern. A gathered elastic waistband with a matching drawstring keeps the waist secure.

• Barrel leg shape. The wide leg curves outward past the hip and tapers slightly at the cropped hem. That rounded line gives your legs room without dragging on wet paths.
• Gathered high waist. We set a wide elastic band high on the torso and threaded a self-fabric drawstring through the front. It pulls tight without digging or binding when you sit.
• Ribbed dot corduroy. The cloth is a mid-weight corduroy with raised wales that trap air and block a chill. We printed it with small white dots across a dense black ground.
• Cold wash care. Machine wash on a gentle cold cycle or hand wash cold to keep the corduroy wales raised and soft. Lay the trousers flat in the shade to dry.
