We cut these everyday trousers from a midweight ribbed corduroy that holds warmth through cooler days. The high rise settles over an elastic casing with an adjustable front drawstring, while the leg bows outward gently before falling straight to the hem. Two deep front pockets carry your keys without pulling on the waistband.

• Barrel leg shape. The cut curves out through the hip and thigh, then drops into a relaxed wide opening above the ankle. It gives you plenty of room to move without pooling over your shoes.
• Drawstring waist. We gathered the top edge on wide internal elastic that sits flat against the body. An exposed cord lets you tighten or loosen the high rise as needed.
