We cut these with generous volume through the hip and a low harem rise that falls cleanly into a wide leg. The linen blend is light, woven with a muted khaki stripe that runs vertically to anchor the shape. A drawstring waist lets you set the height yourself.

• Waistband and rise. An elastic casing holds the waist, threaded with a self fabric drawstring so you can knot it loose or firm. The rise is dropped deep in the harem style, leaving plenty of room through the seat.
• Leg shape and volume. The leg begins wide at the hip, curves out slightly like a soft barrel, and stays open down to the hem. It moves air freely and will not cling when the weather turns warm.
• Linen blend weave. We used a plain weave linen blend that softens after its first wash. It shows natural texture in the yarn, wrinkles gently through a day of wear, and lets heat vent naturally through the cloth.
• Pockets and care. Deep side pockets sit along the forward seam to hold small items without pulling on the waistband. Wash on a gentle cold cycle and hang on a line to dry without heat.
