We cut these loose linen pants with a high elastic waist and wide legs that borrow volume from harem tailoring. Deep patch pockets sit low on the hips to weigh the fabric down. The army green weave softens with each wash and vents heat readily.

  • High elastic waist. The wide waistband pulls straight on and sits high over the hips. It holds firm without tight hardware, letting the gathered linen fall loose across the front.
  • Harem patch pockets. Large patch pockets sit low on the outside seams. Their deep cut catches keys and small tools while pulling the wide leg into its distinctive barrel shape.
  • Army green linen. We chose a medium-weight linen blend dyed a muted army green. The open weave lets air through and softens continuously after drying on the line.
  • Wash and care. Wash by hand or on a gentle cycle in lukewarm water. Hang the pants to dry away from heat, and steam the seams flat if needed.
