We cut these loose with a wide palazzo leg and a relaxed seat that gives the fabric room to drape. The dark blue and white plaid runs across a light linen blend that softens after washing. An elastic waistband with a matching drawstring lets the pair sit at your preferred rise.

• Wide leg cut. The legs fall straight and wide from the hip down to a clean hem. This wide profile lets the linen blend move naturally with your stride and vent warm air throughout the day.
• Drawstring waist. We gathered the top edge with an elastic band and threaded an adjustable fabric cord through the front. It holds securely without pinching and allows for easy adjustment between a higher or lower rise.
• Deep side pockets. Two dropped pockets sit directly along the outer side seams. We stitched them deep enough to hold everyday items without pulling the outer lines of the trousers out of shape.
• Plaid cloth care. Wash by hand or on a gentle machine cycle in cool water, then line dry away from direct heat. The woven dark blue and white check softens noticeably with each wash while holding its structure.
