We cut these shorts loose through the leg so air moves freely on hot days. The high waist uses gathered smocking that stretches without pinching, paired with a lightweight woven blend that softens as you wash it. Two side pockets sit flat against the hip.

• Shirred elastic waist. A broad band of shirred smocking sits high on the waist. It pulls on easily, holds securely without a drawstring, and adjusts naturally when you sit or bend.
