We cut these shorts wide through the leg so air moves freely around the thigh. The shirred waist sits high and flat against the ribs, built with multiple rows of elastic for a steady grip without binding. It is a loose, simple shape in a crisp plaid weave that softens with wear.

• Shirred high waist. Multiple parallel rows of elastic create a wide smocked band that rests high on the waist. It gathers the fabric evenly across the top and stays in place without a drawstring.
