We cut these with extra volume through the outer leg and pulled the ankle in slightly to create a soft barrel shape. The sunflower brown print is grounded on a warm, earthy base. A gathered waistband with an adjustable drawstring sits high and lets the linen hang free from the hips down.

• Gathered drawstring waist. We built the high waist with an elastic band and a flat drawcord. It gathers the cloth evenly across the top, staying put without binding and leaving the rest of the pant loose.
• Barrel leg volume. The leg bows out past the thigh and tapers back toward the ankle. This harem-influenced shape keeps the fabric off your legs while preventing the hems from dragging on the floor.
• Dropped side pockets. We set two deep pockets low into the side seams. They sit below the waistband gathers so your hands rest naturally without pulling on the waist or distorting the front drape.
• Linen blend care. Wash on a gentle cycle in cool water or hand wash, then line dry. Linen softens with every rinse. Use a steam iron if you want a flat finish, or let the natural crinkle remain.
