We cut these very loose through the seat and thighs, combining a wide palazzo leg with a dropped harem crotch. The linen blend keeps the silhouette airy and light on warm days. An elastic waistband with a matching drawstring lets you set the rise where you want it.

• Leg shape and volume. We gave these a very full cut from the hip down through the hem. The wide leg and dropped crotch create a baggy harem shape that lets air move around you without clinging.
• Elastic drawstring waistband. The waistband uses a gathered elastic channel paired with a workable drawcord. It sits high or low on the hips without biting, holding steady when you weight the deep side pockets.
• Linen blend weave. We chose a lightweight linen blend that softens after the first wash. The fabric has an open weave that vents heat, showing natural slub texture across the black-and-grey scale pattern.
• Washing and care. Wash on a gentle cycle in cool water or hand wash, then hang the pants to dry. Skip the machine dryer to preserve the drape of the linen, and use a steam iron if you prefer fewer creases.
