We cut these with an exaggerated leg that holds its shape through the middle before dropping to the ankle. The linen blend is woven with a visible twill line in deep black coffee, giving the yardage enough body to fall straight without clinging. An elastic channel with an adjustable cord keeps the waist steady.

• Leg shape and volume. The cut borrows from palazzo and harem silhouettes, pooling loose around the calves. There is generous space through the thigh, allowing air to move through the open weave as you walk.
• Elastic drawstring waistband. An elastic band runs through the high casing to sit flat across the hips. We added an exterior tie cord so you can tighten the fit without bunching the fabric.
• Side pocket construction. Two drop-in side pockets are set into the forward seams. They are deep enough to hold keys or a phone without pulling on the waistband or distorting the line of the hip.
• Care and washing. Wash by hand or on a gentle cycle in cool water to protect the linen fibres. Hang the trousers to dry in the shade and use a steam iron while the fabric is slightly damp.
