A wide leg cut short enough to clear the ankles, sewn with high side splits that open the hem as you walk. The purple stripe runs vertically down the weave. We set the waist on a wide elastic band with an integrated drawstring so it stays put without pinching.

Leg cut and side splits. The leg falls straight from the hip into an open palazzo shape. High side slits break up the volume at the hem, letting the lightweight linen billow and vent warm air with each stride.
Elastic and cord waist. We gathered the top edge onto an elastic band and threaded it with an adjustable drawstring. The casing sits flat against the skin, distributing tension evenly around the waist without digging in.
Purple vertical stripe. Vertical purple stripes are woven directly into the natural linen base. The pattern follows the straight grain line, which accentuates the drape and movement of the wide leg.
Linen wash routine. Wash in cool or lukewarm water on a gentle cycle, or wash by hand. Hang the pants to air dry so the weave settles naturally. Steam iron if you prefer a smoother surface.
