We cut these wide-leg pants from lightweight linen with a clean black stripe running down the length. The leg stays broad all the way down, opening into deep side slits that vent air as you move. A gathered elastic waist and flat drawcord keep the rise steady without squeezing.

Slit rounded hem. The side seams open high above the ankle, finishing in a soft curve rather than a square edge. That opening lets the wide hem swing freely around your shins and lets heat escape quickly.
Elastic and drawcord waist. We built the waistband with a broad band of elastic and an exterior drawcord. You can tie it high on the waist or let it rest lower on the hip without losing the shape.
Lightweight striped linen. The woven black stripe runs vertically to emphasize the drop of the wide leg. This linen weave is light, softens with each wash, and naturally settles into loose creases across the day.
Gentle wash care. Wash on a gentle cycle in cool water or hand wash, then line dry away from direct heat. Steam lightly if you want to smooth out hard travel folds, or leave the natural rumple intact.
