We cut these bloomer pants from a light linen blend printed in our sun floral pattern. The silhouette builds lantern-style volume through the calf before gathering back down into banded lace cuffs. A tie-front waistband anchors the waist, and deep side pockets sit flush along the hips.

• Leg shape and taper. The leg widens from the hip into an open lantern curve and gathers closely near the lower calf. This keeps the volume suspended off the legs while you walk. It works on its own or layered under long tunics.
• Lace trim hem. We finish each leg opening with a band of ruffled lace. The trim gathers the fabric softly without pinching the lower leg. It leaves a neat, slightly cropped hem that sits well above the shoes.
• Waistband and pockets. A flexible waistband adjusts with functional tie-front straps so you can set the rise where you want it. Deep pockets are set directly into the side seams to carry daily items without pulling the gathers out of shape.
