We cut these lantern pants from a soft linen blend in a muted rose pink plaid. The fit stays wide through the seat and thighs before drawing inward at the lower calf. A gathered ruffle and soft lace band finish each leg opening.

  • Leg shape and lace hem. The cut swells wide through the leg like traditional bloomers, then gathers neatly above the ankle. A wide lace border and self-fabric ruffle edge the hem, keeping the shape buoyant.
  • Drawstring waist. An elastic waistband anchors the top block, paired with functional front tie straps. You adjust the tension yourself, while the casing keeps the gathers distributed evenly around the hips.
