We cut these trousers wide through the hip and leg so the corduroy can drop in a clean line without catching at the knee. The high rise gathers into an elastic waist with an exterior drawstring for an easy hold. It gives you the warmth of ribbed cotton with room to move.

• Elastic waist with cord. We gather the high waist onto a wide elastic band and thread it with an exterior drawstring. You can pull it snug or let it sit loose without the waistband digging into your sides.
• Straight wide leg. The leg runs straight and full from the high hip down to the floor. The corduroy ribs give the wide cut enough weight to fall straight instead of billowing around your ankles.
