A tailored front meets a relaxed back band in this wide palazzo shape. We cut the leg loose from the hip down in a lightweight linen blend dyed dark coffee. Deep front pleats and back darts give the waist structure while the fabric hangs straight to the floor.

• Front waist and closure. A flat front panel features a zip fly with a hook and eye closure. We added belt loops along the top and stitched deep pleats to guide the drape down each leg.
• Elastic back waist. The back half of the waistband uses gathered elastic above neat tailoring darts. It settles against your waist without binding when you sit, keeping the flat front smooth.
• Palazzo leg cut. We cut the legs wide in a gentle A-line that falls clear of the knees. The lightweight linen blend has enough body to hold the pleats while venting warm air as you move.
• Washing and care. Wash on a gentle cycle or by hand in cool water. Hang the pants up to dry instead of using a dryer, and use a warm steam iron to press the front pleats back into place.
