We cut these trousers with an open A-line sweep and a high rise. The front waistband stays clean with pleats, belt loops, and a zip closure, while the back uses hidden elastic to settle naturally at the waist. In Elephant Navy, the lightweight linen blend holds its shape without clinging.

• Waistband and closure. We built a flat front with hook-and-eye fastening over a front zip, adding pleats and belt loops for structure. The back band is gathered with internal elastic so the waist sits flat without pulling tight.
• Leg and volume. The cut falls straight from the hips into a wide palazzo leg with an A-line profile. Front pleats direct the drape downward, giving the linen blend room to move and vent heat as you walk.
• Elephant Navy print. The deep navy ground carries a contrasting print across the whole leg. We chose a lightweight linen blend that softens after washing, letting the pattern sit naturally across the folds of the wide leg.
• Care and washing. Wash by hand or on a gentle machine cycle in cool water. Hang the trousers to dry rather than using a dryer, and use a steam iron to reset the front pleats.
