We cut these trousers wide through the hip and leg for an open A-line fall. The front closes with a neat zip fly, hook, and eye, backed by elastic across the rear waistband. A light linen blend lets air move through the yellow flower print.

• Waist and pleats. Front pleats add ease below the waistband while rear darts keep the back neat. An elastic back section gives flexibility without pulling, and belt loops let you add your own leather or woven belt.
• A-line leg cut. The legs fall straight and wide from the hip down to a generous hem. This roomier profile creates plenty of airflow around the legs and gives the printed fabric room to move.
