We cut these trousers with a high rise and an expansive wide leg that drops straight from front pleats. The front stays flat with a zip fly and hook closure, while the back waistband uses elastic to keep the seat easy. Deep slant pockets sit along the side seams.

• Waistband and fly. A flat front waistband secures with a zip fly and hook-and-eye closure. We added belt loops and set elastic across the back band, combined with back darts, so the waist settles without bunching across the front.
• Leg and pleats. Front pleats open into an A-line shape with generous leg volume. The cut gives fabric room to drift away from the legs and vents heat through the wide hem, which settles cleanly over flats or low heels.
• Sun Floral print. The Sun Floral 23 pattern scatters warm floral motifs across a light ground. We printed the linen-blend cloth before cutting to keep the scale balanced across both legs and the front pleats.
• Pockets and care. Slant pockets are set deep into the side seams so small carry items stay put. Wash gently by hand or machine in cool water, skip the dryer, and line dry before using a warm steam iron to relax the weave.
