We cut these lantern pants from an open linen blend dyed in a warm red orange. The silhouette balloons through the leg before gathering back at the lower calf with sewn lace trim. An elastic drawstring waistband anchors the top without tight pressure.

• Gathered ankle hem. The lower hem gathers inward to form a classic bloomer shape. We finished the cuff with tiered lace ruffles that hang loose around the ankle, giving the hem weight so the leg holds its lantern volume.
• Drawstring waistband. The waistband uses a soft elastic core threaded with functional tie-front straps. You can adjust the pull directly at the front, while the gathered casing keeps the waist flat and secure during movement.
• Linen blend fabric. We chose a lightweight linen blend that vents warm air easily. The weave softens with ordinary wear and laundering, holding a relaxed texture that drapes instead of clinging to the legs.
• Red orange tone. This red orange dye brings a rich, earthy brightness to the linen texture. For care, wash on a gentle cycle or by hand in cool water, tumble dry on low heat, and press with a low iron if needed.
