A yellow and white gingham check woven into a lightweight linen blend. We gave these a high elastic waist with a working drawstring, then opened the leg wide from the hip down to an ankle ruffle. Side pockets sit flat along the outer seams.

  • Ruffle hem detail. The leg finishes with a gathered ruffle at the cuff rather than a plain turned hem. It gives the wide opening a bit of extra swing around the ankle as you move.
  • Drawstring elastic waist. An elastic waistband holds high on the waist, backed by a matching drawstring so you can adjust the gather. The channel stays flat without binding.
  • Linen blend weave. The airy yarn lets warm air vent quickly while the blend keeps the weave soft from the first wash. It softens further with line drying.
  • Wash and care. Hand wash or run on a gentle machine cycle in lukewarm water. Hang on a line to dry and press with a warm steam iron while damp.
