We cut these cropped trousers with wide palazzo legs that borrow a little slouch from a harem shape. The linen blend keeps the cloth light and open against warm air. Deep side splits along the lower leg let the hem drift as you step.

• Elastic drawstring waist. An elastic waistband sits flat across the middle and adjusts with an exterior drawcord. You tie it once to set the tension, leaving the rise loose through the hips without gathering into stiff bunches.
• Wide leg with wrap split. The leg falls straight from the hip into a wide palazzo hem cropped above the ankle. We added overlapping side splits down the outer seam so the fabric vents heat and moves freely with your stride.
• Malachite green stripe. Woven vertical stripes in malachite green run straight down the legs to give the loose cut clean direction. The linen-blend yarn gives the surface a gentle slubbed texture that softens with wear.
• Washing and care. Machine wash cold or warm on a gentle cycle, or wash by hand. Hang the pants up to dry out of direct sun. Steam iron while the fabric is slightly damp to smooth out deep creases.
