We cut these gaucho pants with a wide, cropped leg that stays off the ankles and lets air move freely. The fabric has generous stretch and a soft hand, matched with a flexible elastic waist and a functional drawstring. Deep side pockets sit flat along the seams.

Wide cropped leg. The leg opens up wide from the hip down to a mid-calf hem. That extra room gives the culotte shape its swing while keeping the fabric clear of your shoes.
Drawstring waistband. We set a broad elastic band into the waist and threaded it with a matching tie. It holds without binding and adjusts with a quick knot.
In-seam pockets. Two slanted side pockets sit deep enough for keys or a phone. We anchored them to the side seams so they stay flat when empty.
Navy knit cloth. This dark navy fabric is knitted with plenty of give and a smooth, soft surface. Wash cold with similar darks and hang dry to keep the drape intact.
