We cut these gaucho pants with a wide, cropped leg that falls well clear of the ankle. The dark gray knit is soft and stretchy, with enough weight to hang straight without clinging. An elastic waistband with an adjustable drawcord keeps the top sitting flat.

Wide cropped leg. The leg opens up wide from the hip down to a clean, cropped hem. Air moves through the wide openings, and the fabric stays away from the calves as you walk.
Drawstring waist. We built the waistband with internal elastic and an exterior drawcord. You can tie it snug at the natural waist or drop it lower on the hips without bunching.
Deep side pockets. Two inset side pockets sit along the seam line. They are deep enough to hold a phone or keys without pulling the cropped leg out of line.
Care and wash. Wash cold on a gentle cycle with like colors to protect the dark gray dye. Line dry or tumble dry low to preserve the stretch in the knit.
