We cut these winter trousers in a ribbed corduroy with a pale Milk White cast. The waist sits high on a soft elastic channel with a cotton cord, dropping into a wide horseshoe leg that gathers back toward the shoe. Front cargo patches sit flat across the hip without adding bulk.

• Ribbed winter corduroy. The cotton-blend corduroy has a pronounced ridge that holds structure and traps warmth in cold air. It breaks in soft after the first wash, keeping its drape without going limp across the knee.
• Horseshoe leg line. We bowed the outseam wide through the thigh and brought the hem back in above the ankle. That rounded barrel profile gives the leg room to move while keeping the cuff clear of the ground.
• Drawstring high rise. A wide band of gathered elastic rests high on the waist. We threaded it with a thick cotton rope so you can knot the rise where you want it without pinching or rolling when you sit.
• Cargo patch pockets. Two deep utility pockets are stitched directly onto the front panels. They sit flat against the corduroy ribs, deep enough to hold keys or a phone without dragging the waistband down.
