We cut these cold-weather trousers with a distinct horseshoe leg that bows out through the thigh and pulls back in at the hem. The ribbed corduroy holds warmth without the stiff weight of denim. A soft elastic waistband with a heavy rope drawstring anchors the high rise.

• Bowed barrel leg. The leg arches outward below the hip and curves inward above the ankle. This shape gives your knees and thighs room to move while keeping the lower hem clear of shoe soles.
• Corduroy fabric weight. Woven with distinct raised ribs, this fabric holds heat against cool air while remaining pliable from the first wear. The dark green dye takes deep into the velvet ridges.
