We cut these from a soft, ridged corduroy that holds warmth when the weather turns cold. The high waistband pairs an elastic core with a thick cotton rope drawstring, letting the silhouette bow out through the thigh and taper slightly at the ankle. Solid black lets the textured ribs and deep cargo pockets stand on their own.

• Barrel leg shape. The leg bows outward through the thigh and calf, then pulls back in gently at the hem. It gives you room to move without pooling underfoot.
• Ribbed corduroy cloth. Solid corduroy provides a distinct vertical ridge that traps warmth. The fabric has an easy drape that softens further with regular cold-water washing.
• Waistband with rope cord. We built a broad elastic casing at the high rise so it sits flat against your waist. A thick cotton rope threads through to adjust the fit.
• Cargo patch pockets. Deep utility patch pockets sit flat on the leg panels. They hold daily essentials without breaking the curved line of the outer seam.
