We cut these casual sweatpants with an open leg shape that borrows the ease of a harem trouser. The high elastic waist sits flat against the body, anchored by deep side pockets. In heather apricot, the soft knit blend holds its drape without feeling heavy.

• High elastic waistband. The waistband uses a wide band of interior elastic that rests high on the waist. It stays in place while you walk or sit down, holding firmly without pinching or rolling down during the day.
• Barrel leg volume. We widened the pattern through the thigh and calf to give the leg a rounded, loose profile. The fabric falls straight toward the ankle, keeping the lower hem open rather than gathered into a tight cuff.
• Soft knit blend. The cotton and polyester blend gives the cloth a smooth face and a fleecy underside that traps warmth. The knit resists surface pilling and keeps its shape after a normal cold wash on the gentle cycle.
