We cut these sweatpants with extra volume through the outer leg seam that tapers slightly toward the ankle. The army green cotton blend fabric has enough weight to hold that rounded barrel shape while staying soft on the inside. A wide elastic band anchors the waist without hardware.

• High elastic waistband. The waist relies on a wide encased elastic band that stays flat against the skin. It sits high on the waist so the heavy fleece hangs freely through the hips without pulling or bunching.
• Barrel leg cut. We added width along the outer seams through the thigh and calf, then brought the hem back in slightly. The shape keeps the fabric away from the legs and gives the fleece its rounded drape.
• Cotton blend fleece. The knit blends cotton with polyester to balance softness and durability. It holds warmth for cooler days, resists surface pilling over time, and keeps its shape after regular washing.
