We cut these with an open palazzo shape that carries volume straight down from the hip. The linen-blend weave vents heat easily and settles into soft creases with wear. An adjustable drawstring over the elastic waist keeps the rise right where you set it.

Wide palazzo leg. The leg is cut loose from the top of the thigh down to an open hem. Air moves through as you walk, giving the woven linen room to drape without pulling across the knee.
Drawstring waist. We gathered the top over a soft elastic band and ran a matching cord through the center. You can tie it snug or wear it loose on the hips.
Dropped side pockets. Two deep pockets sit along the side seams below the gather. They lie flat against the leg when empty and carry small essentials without dragging the waistband down.
Wash and care. Launder in cool water on a gentle cycle or wash by hand. Hang them on a line to dry naturally, then use a warm steam iron to smooth out the deeper laundry creases.
