We cut these palazzo trousers wide through the hip and leg so the fabric falls away from the body. The black linen blend vents heat and softens through repeat wear. A smocked waistband stays flat against the skin without digging in, secured by a matching cord tie.

• Smocked waist construction. Rows of fine elastic create a flexible smocked band that expands easily and recovers its shape. The front drawstring cord lets you cinch the waist as snug as needed.
• Palazzo leg with side ruffle. The leg cut stays generous from the upper thigh right down to the hem. We stitched a light ruffle detail along the outer side seam to give the open silhouette subtle motion.
• Linen blend drape. We chose a plain-weave linen blend with visible surface slubs. The material holds its structure off the skin while allowing steady airflow on hot afternoons.
