We cut these palazzo pants with plenty of room through the leg so the linen blend can swing when you walk. A wide smocked waistband holds without pinching, backed by a working drawstring. The outer leg seams are finished with a soft ruffle down the side.

• Smocked waist and tie. The waistband combines elastic smocking with a working cord so you can set the tension across your waist. It sits flat and spreads the gather evenly around the hips.
• Palazzo leg and ruffles. The leg runs straight and wide from the hip down to the hem. We set a small ruffle along each outer side seam to break up the polka dot print and give the drape extra weight.
• Linen blend dot weave. We printed black dots over a natural beige ground. The linen blend keeps an open weave that vents warm air, softening into small, honest wrinkles as you move through the day.
