We cut these loose palazzo trousers from a light linen blend dyed in water blue stripes. The waist adjusts with a self-fabric drawstring over an elastic band, while the legs stay wide from the hip down and finish in a cropped hem with wrap split sides. Two patch pockets sit flat at the hips.

Elastic drawstring waist. An elastic casing runs the full waistband, threaded with a flat linen drawstring. You can tie it snug or let it sit low across the hips without digging in.
Cropped wrap hem. The wide palazzo cut ends at the ankle with a wrap split at each outer seam. That opening vents warm air and keeps the hem moving as you walk.
Water blue stripe. The vertical stripe is woven into the light linen blend. The fabric softens with each wash, holding a dry hand that stays off your skin in the heat.
Cold wash and line dry. Wash on a gentle cycle in cool water or wash by hand. Hang them on a line out of direct sun, then press with steam while the linen is still damp.
