We cut these palazzo pants with plenty of room through the thigh and leg so the woven linen blend can move freely. The high waist uses an elastic band with a drawstring to secure the fit. In this edition, an elephant print sits across a deep navy ground.

• High elastic waistband. The waistband holds flat with internal elastic and an adjustable drawstring at the front. It sits high on the waist, anchoring the wide cut without bunching uncomfortably when you sit or walk.
• Palazzo leg shape. We gave the legs a wide, straight cut from the hip down to the hem. The lightweight linen blend has enough body to drape cleanly while allowing air to move through the open weave.
• Deep side pockets. Two inset pockets are sewn into the side seams. We cut them deep enough to hold a phone, keys, or a cardholder flat against the hip without pulling the line of the leg out of shape.
• Wash and care. Linen softens as it is worn and washed. Machine wash on a gentle cycle or wash by hand in cool water, then line dry. Press with a warm iron if you prefer a smoother look.
