We cut these lounge pants with a rounded barrel shape through the leg that tapers back in at the ankle. A band of open lace runs straight down each outer seam to break up the fleece surface. The waistband pulls on with wide elastic and a flat cord.

• Barrel leg cut. The leg curves outward below the hip and pulls back toward the ankle. That extra width keeps the fabric away from the knee when you walk or sit down.
• Outer lace trim. We set a strip of flat lace along both outside seams from the waistband to the hem. It adds texture down the side without changing how the fleece moves.
• Drawstring waist. The gathered elastic band sits flat across the waist and stays put with an adjustable drawcord. It pulls on easily without hardware or stiff closures.
