We cut these sweatpants with a curved barrel leg that bows out through the calf and tapers at the ankle. The cotton-blend fleece holds its own shape without stiffening up. A gathered drawstring waist anchors the rise so the leg hangs loose from the hip down.

• Curved barrel leg. The leg bows outward through the thigh and calf before narrowing at the ankle. A slanted cuff detail finishes the hem so the volume stacks lightly over low shoes without dragging on the floor.
• Drawstring elastic waist. We gathered the top edge with a wide band of encased elastic and threaded a tonal drawstring through the center. It stays in place without pinching when you sit down.
