A relaxed sweatpant cut with room through the thigh that bows out and tapers back at the ankle. We used a cotton blend sweatshirt fleece with a soft looped interior that holds its shape. The waistband gathers with flat elastic and an adjustable drawcord so the rise stays put. Side pockets sit along the outer seams.

• Curved barrel leg. The leg bows outward from the hip down through the knee before tapering toward the ankle. This curved shape gives the fleece volume without dragging on the floor, finished with a clean slanted cuff.
• Elastic drawstring waistband. We set a wide elastic band into the high waist and ran a matching drawcord through the channel. You can knot it tighter for walking or loosen it when seated without the band rolling down.
• Cotton blend fleece. The knit is smooth on the outside with a soft, warm face against the skin. It has enough body to support the barrel shape while remaining flexible throughout the day.
• Side seam pockets. Two deep pockets are set directly into the side seams. They stay flat against the hip when empty and hold small items securely without pulling the waistband down.
