We cut these sweatpants with a wide barrel leg that bows out through the calf and pulls back in at the ankle. The high waistband pairs thick elastic with a working drawstring so the fit stays put without binding. Our soft cotton-blend fleece gives the legs enough substance to hold their rounded line.

• Curved barrel leg. The leg cuts wide through the thigh and arches out around the shin before tapering into a slanted cuff. It gives you room to move without trailing fabric under your shoes.
• Elastic drawstring waistband. We gathered the top over a wide elastic band and ran a flat cord through the front. You can cinch it tight or let it rest low without the casing rolling over.
