We cut these palazzo trousers wide through the hip and leg so the woven cloth falls straight without clinging. The smocked elastic waistband pulls in with an adjustable cord, while side ruffle detailing runs down the outer seam. Deep side pockets sit flat against the fabric.

Smocked drawstring waist. The waistband uses a wide band of smocking that sits flat and stretches as you move. A self-fabric drawstring threads through the middle so you can adjust the hold at your natural waist.
Palazzo leg and ruffle. We gave the legs a full palazzo cut that stays wide all the way to the hem. Small ruffles along the outer side seams add weight to the cloth so it hangs straight down.
Rose and white stripe. The woven pattern alternates rose and white bands across the cloth. The weave has a natural texture that softens after washing, keeping the fabric loose and airy off the leg.
Wash and air dry. Hand wash or use a gentle cycle with cool water. Hang the trousers to dry rather than putting them in a dryer, and use a steam iron to clear fold lines.
