We cut these palazzo pants with extra room through the leg and a gentle ruffle running down each outer seam. The linen blend hangs loosely from a gathered smocked waistband with an adjustable cord. The orange stripe pattern runs vertically to follow the drape of the fabric.

Smocked drawstring waistband. The wide smocked waist band stretches flat against the body without pinching. An adjustable drawcord lets you cinch the waist as loose or snug as needed, keeping the gathered fabric steady through the rise.
Wide leg with ruffles. We gave the legs full palazzo volume from the hip down to the hem. A narrow fabric ruffle is stitched into each outer side seam, adding movement along the edges without pulling at the side pockets.
Linen blend weave. The linen blend fabric has a visible weave with natural surface slubs that soften after washing. It vents heat well, moves freely as you walk, and drops cleanly into wide hems that clear the floor.
Washing and care. Wash by hand or on a gentle cycle in warm water, then line dry to preserve the ruffle edges. Skip the tumble dryer and bleach. A light pass with a steam iron resets the weave and smooths the stripes.
