We cut these palazzo pants with extra room through the leg so the linen hangs straight down without clinging. The wine and blue floral print runs across the light weave, broken only by deep side seams. You get a relaxed fit that stays off the skin in high heat.

• Waistband and cord. An elastic channel wraps the entire waist to hold the cut in place without pinching. We set a matching drawstring through the front so you can adjust the gather to sit high or low on the hips.
• Palazzo leg cut. The leg drops wide from the hip down to a clean, straight hem. This open shape lets air move through the trousers as you walk and gives the light linen blend its distinctive drape.
